GUIDES

Knowledge without value is dangerous. Value without knowledge is blindness. Knowledge without skill is a disability.

A good facilitator needs to be brave enough to let things, especially negativeones to happen in class, even in the presence of the facilitator’s evaluators, so that the negative effects of such things or causes can become evident, felt and discussed. This is in keeping to the principle of nurturing our learners in self-accountability & team responsibility.

PBL4C is as much for the students as for the facilitators/teachers to cultivate the 4 cores together, looking at the causes and results of appropriate thoughts and values in the application of knowledge and skills in context.

Cultivating a simple warm smile gradually throughout a learner’s involvement in PBL4C lessons provides the learner to experience happy living opportunities in context. This can hardly be found in most educational systems.

We teach students to calculate, we don’t students to be calculative.

The tools in gaining knowledge, either through computer, ebooks, ibooks or nobooks matters. If new tools are required then new skills will inevitably be needed to be acquired by the learners, and it does affect other areas of learning.

One part of the learning is to avoid sexual misconduct through the designing of suitable scenarios. Case study: Bill Cosby. The learning can also include how to deal with false accusations or true revelations. Learning respect for human dignity, male or female alike, on how trust is an integral essence in family living, and learning the consequences of breaking that trust, even once.

Parents who praise children too much may encourage narcissism, says study. Children who are told they are special by their parents are more likely to become narcissists, according to a study that aimed to uncover the origins of extreme selfishness.
